Caravan Park Details

One of the prettiest sites on the network, part of the Bolton Abbey estate, in an open glade surrounded by woodland and the glorious Yorkshire Dales. Within the boundaries of the estate are some 75 miles of footpaths through moors, woods and farmland. Painted by Turner and Landseer, praised by Wordsworth and grazed by sheep, the ruins of the 12th century Bolton Priory stand on a placid curve of the River Wharfe. Nearby Skipton (8??m), an historic town with cobbled streets and canal, has a regular street market, a well preserved medieval fortress and is also the starting point of one of Englands most beautiful train journeys, the Settle to Carlisle line.
