The Swift Group, manufacturers of touring caravans, probably have more touring caravan models in production than any other company. They are the parent company for some of the best known name in caravanning such as Abbey, Ace, Bessacarr, Sprite, Sterling and Swift.

Abbey Spectrum 215 2008 £14525 - £18225

The 2008 model of the Abbey Spectrum come in both single axle and double axle touring caravan models and also all come fully equipped with the Phantom 'ProActive' satelite monitoring for the caravanner with security in mind. The addition of such a security device is a great addition as it will lower insurance premium as well as give peace of mind.

Among other outstanding features of the Spectrum are Freeview enabled TV, DVD/CD player and DVB radio. The twin axel Abbey Spectrum models in 2008 will all have a generous 175 litre fridge / freezer.

The Abbey Spectrum is a high end caravan with a high end price tag, this is not to say that it doesnt provide reasonable value for money as it comes with many things you would expect from such a caravan. The shower is functional and attractive as are all of the fixtures and fittings well placed and built. I have to say I enjoyed being in the Abbey Spectrum touring caravan.

On the next page we will be looking at the last of our Abbey tourer caravans, the all-rounder, the Abbey Vogue 495.
