The Wirral is a peninsula of great natural beauty, with unspoilt open space and wonderful sea views. The site has several flat grassy pitching areas, separated by frees and shrubs, and some pitches overlook the Dee estuary which is easily accessible. The site is located in a country park of 2000 acres of unspoilt natural landscape. Wirral is an ideal place for the sportsman, cycling, young families and for those with less energetic interests. Its perfect for sailing and offers seven private sailing clubs where temporary and family membership is offered to visiting members of other dubs. Theres power-boating, water ski-ing and other water-based sports, several indoor swimming pools, sports and recreation centres, and golf courses. There are many lovely walks in the Park, along the seashore, as well as the Wirral Way; an easy walk for several miles.

From M6 - leave onto M56 (westbound); in abt 21m at rndabt at end of mway turn L at sp Queensferry, N Wales; in ??m at rndabt turn R onto A540 (sp Hoylake); in abt 10??m (abt 1??m past Heswall); DO NOT FOLLOW ANY PREVIOUS SIGNS TO WIRRAL COUNTRY PARK; turn L at X-rds in Thurstaston just past 50mph sign into Station Rd (sp Wirral Country Pk Centre); in 150yds turn R & keep L; in abt ??m (immed after hump back bdge) turn R into site rd. Site on L in abt ??m (past static caravan site).

From N (via Liverpool and Wallasey Tunnel) - after passing thro Wallasey tunnel (toll) follow sps onto M53; leave at junc 3 and turn R onto A552 (sp Upton); in abt ??m at rndabt turn L onto A551 (sp Heswall); within ??m turn R onto B5138 (sp Heswall); in 100yds turn R (sp Irby); in 1??m at T-junc turn R (sp Thurstaston); in ??m at X-rds cont over into Station Rd (sp Wirral Country Pk Centre); then as above.

Note: speed humps on approach road to site. Restricted late arrivals area.
