Avondale Dart 2008 touring caravan review

Avondale Model Range reviews

Written by CaravanGuy on 2007-09-20

All 2007 model touring caravans in the Avondale range have made it through to 2008 with the self styled Avondale series remaining their leading class. All Avondale touring caravans come with a 5 year weatherseal guarantee and 3 year general guarantee, read on to find out if they are worth keeping for this long.

Avondale Dart 470-2 2008

The Avondale Dart touring caravan is billed as a leightweight caravan for the caravanner that doesnt have a 4x4, even their largest in the range, the 630-6, weighs in at only 1450kg. The Avondale Dart is available in 2, 4, 5 and 6 berth and has a wide range of standard features. As standard the Avondale Dart comes with blown air central heating which is not the best system for heating efficiency but is much better than radiators at warming your tourer up almost instantly.

Every Dart has a tilt and slide sunroof which is a great addition to any caravan, I hope to see more of these in future from otehr manufacturers, as are the loose fitting carpets which are great for keeping clean. The inbuilt fridge has a full width freezer compartment and the caravan has hot and cold pumped water using a shurflow system. The 470-2 is one of the smaller Avondale Dart 2008 models yet still had a rather spacious bathroom.

Below is a group of pictures we took of the Avondale Dart while we were at the Caravan Show in Cottingham:
